Driven by intense price pressures, wireless carriers are leveraging distributed base station architecture deployments to provide a cost-effective solution for both coverage and capacity. Part of a series on wireless networks, this webinar discusses two of the innovations that enable 3G wireless distributed architectures: Power Amplifier (PA) Digital Predistortion (DPD) technology and Remote Radio Head (RRH) networking elements.

DPD enables the design of smaller, lower power and less expensive PAs, compensating for nonlinearity and retaining high efficiency. Moreover, network operators can leverage RRHs for CAPEX & OPEX savings over traditional “One Base Station per Radio Mast” electrically fed platform deployments
