PM2384-KIT 10GE, 10GFC Evaluation Kit
Documents
Overview
- The 10GE/10GFC Signal Integrity
Evaluation kit allows evaluation of the
QuadPHY 10GX and QuadPHY XR 3.3
Gbit/s high speed serial I/O.
- Users may evaluate the signal integrity
and functional performance of
QuadPHY 10GX and the QuadPHY XR
via coxial SMA cables, a Hm-Zd
backplane connector, InfiniBand4x
cables or interfacing with a X2 optical
module.
- This signal integrity evaluation system
is operated via a USB interface with an
external power supply.
- This card can be used with external test
equipment or with the internal packet
generators and checkers of the
QuadPHY 10GX and QuadPHY XR.
- A Windows-based GUI provides access
to all hardware functions.
Features
- X2 MSA Socket (compatible with X2
MSA Rev 1.0 specification).
- Tyco Hm-Zd Backplane connector.
- 4x InfiniBand Cable connector.
- High-speed SMA connectors.
|
- FPGA-based pattern generation and
checking logic compliant to IEEE
802.3ae - D5.0 standard Annex 48A
(CRPAT and CJPAT patterns).
- LED status indicators for the
QuadPHY 10GX and QuadPHY XR
and X2 transceiver.
- The evaluation card is controlled via a
USB interface. An external power
supply is required.
|
The demonstration software supplied with
the 10GE/10GFC Signal Integrity Evaluation
System provides a graphical user
interface with support for the following
major functions:
- Access to registers on QuadPHY 10GX
and QuadPHY XR and X2 module.
- Automatic configuration of the entire
eval platform to standard operating
modes.
- Automated user-defined configuration of
all devices using TCL scripts.
|
- Direct low-level read/write access to
QuadPHY 10GX and QuadPHY XR via
the GUI.
- Status and mode indicators for the
QuadPHY 10GX and QuadPHY XR.
|
The 10GE/10GFC Signal integrity evaluation
system contains the following
