Features

GENERAL

The MSP4200 belongs to a family of Multi-Service Processors designed to meet the performance, QoS, and security needs of VoIP-enabled communications equipment used within the customer premise.

The MSP4200 provides a single platform for voice and data components of converged communications systems and is an excellent solution for wired and wireless VoIP-enabled router applications.

Together with PMC's voice firmware module, the MSP4200 combines excellent datapath performance together with the exceptional voice quality that consumers are coming to expect of PSTN-replacement VoIP solutions.

Like all of the MSP processor family, the MSP4200 is based on the MS-BUS SoC platform which uses a 4.25 Gbit/s multimaster bus, 4 port bus switch, and 8 context-aware DMA engines to achieve exceptionally high datapath performance.
