RAID adapters combines the PM8013 maxSAS RAID-on-Chip (RoC)
controller and the maxRAID stack to accommodate the most
rigorous server environments and supports the high-performing
SAS/SATA SSDs, 6 Gb/s SAS/SATA disk drives, as well as legacy
3 Gb/s SAS and 3/1.5 Gb/s SATA disk drives.
Always Available Data
Ensuring data is protected is the highest priority for storage. The
maxRAID BR5225-80 RAID adapters offers RAID 1 and 5 for SSD
and HDD configurations. Hot spare support ensures an immediate
rebuild and protection of data in the case of a drive failure.
Easy-to-Use Management of Storage and Data
The maxRAID Storage Manager provides an interface that allows
users to easily create and manage arrays, as well as monitor the
status of all logical and physical devices on any SAS connection.
The management tool suite enables local and remote administrators
to manage all aspects of the system through an intuitive
browser-based GUI, pre-boot configuration via BIOS/UEFI or a
command-line interface (CLI).
Designed for Performance
The core of the BR5225-80 RAID adapter is the high-performance
PM8013 SRC 8x6G RoC controller. With 16GB/s internal
throughput via the RoCstar contention-free architecture and
three integrated MIPS processors, performance reaches new levels
for transaction-based operations or streaming large amounts of
data or media. The multi-threading MIPS 34K cores deliver performance
higher than any other RAID solution.
