PMC-Sierra is committed to safeguarding the personal identifiable information that you share with us online. Generally, you can browse our website, www.pmc-sierra.com (this "Site"), without sharing any personal information. However, should you wish to retain access to our proprietary and confidential resources (the "Resources") or apply for jobs ("Jobs") on our Site, you will be required to voluntarily submit personal information. We may also collect information on how you use this Site, such as resources browsed, searched and downloaded; the frequency and duration of visits, and your source Internet Protocol ("IP") address.

Please read the following statement to understand how we collect, use, maintain, and disclose your personal information.

1. When Personal Information is Required

   As stated above, this Privacy Policy covers the use of this Site when requesting access to the Resources or when applying for Jobs.
   1. To apply for registration to access the Resources you are required to voluntarily submit personal information in exchange for PMC-Sierra's technical information. Registration is then subject to approval by PMC-Sierra. PMC-Sierra retains the right to approve only customers or potential customers to use the Resources.
   2. To apply for Jobs you are required to voluntarily submit a resume describing your educational and employment history (a "Resume"). PMC-Sierra retains the right to keep your personal information in our database in case a suitable opportunity arises in the future.

2. What Information We Collect

   Personally Identifiable Information:

   This is information that may be used to identify you as an individual, such as your e-mail address, name, home or work address, or telephone number. We may collect this information in a number of ways on this Site, including, but not limited to, the on-line documentation request form, the technical support request form, the resume upload form as well as the comments form and email messages to webmaster@pmc-sierra.com.

   Access to Software Drivers/IBIS Models:

   If you request to access our software drivers or IBIS models, we will require your company name, your valid company email address and one of your PMC-Sierra contacts for the approval process.

   Non-Personally Identifiable Information:

   This is information that does not by itself identify a specific individual. We may collect this information in a number of ways on this Site, including, but not limited to, how you use this Site, such as resources browsed, searched and downloaded, the frequency and duration of visits, and your source IP address.

   Cookies:

   A cookie is a small text file that certain Web sites write to your computer's hard drive when you visit such sites. A cookie file can contain information, such as a user identification code, that the site uses to track the pages you have visited, but the only personal information a cookie can contain is information you supply yourself. 3. How We Use Your Information

   If you choose to provide PMC-Sierra with your personal information, where appropriate, PMC-Sierra or subsidiary, representative, sales or affiliated sales channel representative, may use this information to contact you.

   We use the personal information collected during the use of this Site to personalize web content where applicable.

   We may also use your information to send you, or to have our business partners send you, direct marketing information or contact you for market research.

   We may also use your Resume information to contact you about job opportunities at PMC-Sierra.

   We will also use the information to contact you when your registration expires, when we have major functional changes to this Site, when we have added access privileges to your account, or when you initiate a task on this Site, such as find a password.

   We may contact you when changes are made to our secure content site.

   We may periodically send email for sales, marketing, and administrative purposes.

   We will periodically send you email when you are subscribed to our monthly customer notification list and/or our Bitstream newsletter for latest updates of our corporate and product news, and/or any other subscription list(s), and/or are a member of our secure content site.

   We may disclose information about our users when we believe, in good faith, that the disclosure is required by law.

4. Sharing Your Information

   Because PMC-Sierra is a global company, your personal information may be shared with other PMC-Sierra subsidiaries or affiliates around the world. All such entities are governed by this Privacy Policy and/or are bound by the appropriate confidentiality and data transfer agreements.

   In cases where we need to disclose web usage reports to non-PMC-Sierra subsidiaries or affiliates, your personal information will remain anonymous.

   We do not disclose, sell, exchange nor trade your personal identifiable information to commercial mailing lists.

5. Maintaining Your Information

   We take information security issues seriously. Consequently, any personal identifiable information is stored and protected on servers with adequate security measures.

   We will cease all communication and use of personal identifiable information upon your request. Your privileges for access to the Resources on this Site will then be suspended.

   Your user account is valid for one year after you register or after you update your existing account information, such as your password. We may send you an email message to remind you to update your password before your account expires. We may inactivate your account if you do not update your password within the indicated time period in the reminder.

   Inactive accounts are purged monthly and you will need to re-register if your account has been purged. We do not maintain information of purged accounts. We may inactivate and purge your account without notice if:

   1. Your email address is invalid or we receive a bounced email message from your email address, or;
   2. You request us to remove your account by using our web form or by sending email to webmaster@pmc-sierra.com, or;
   3. Your company's product are similar to our product lines, or;
   4. Your company is no longer operating or in business, or;
   5. Your email address is from a third party email provider (example: @hotmail.com, @yahoo.com, @aol.com...etc.).

6. Links To Other Sites

   This Site contains links to other Web sites. Please be aware that PMC-Sierra is not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites. We encourage our users to be aware that when they leave this Site to read the privacy policies of each and every Web site that collects personal identifiable information.

   This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by this Site.

7. Changes To This Statement

   If there are changes or additions to the terms of this Privacy Policy, we will post those changes here prior to implementing the change, as such, PMC-Sierra encourages you to periodically review this Privacy Policy so you are informed on how your information is being protected and used.

   If there are material changes to this Privacy Policy, PMC-Sierra will notify the users of such changes using the personally identifiable information collected on this Site.
